Brief Summary and Key Points:

  • Representatives coming from the faculties, industry partners, participants in LLL-courses, Erasmus Office in B&H,….were presented at the Event (see the complete list of the event participants included in this report). The following is an overview of the meeting:
  • 11:00 Project coordinator at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Sarajevo Prof. Hrasnica welcome the participants of the event and reminded of the main goals and activities of the Erasmus ALL4R&D capacity building project, which include Universities and industrial companies from 6 European countries.
  • 11:10 Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Sarajevo Prof. Dolarević welcomed the participants and underlined the role of the University of Sarajevo, especially new established Research and Development Center at the Faculty in Sarajevo, reminding of the long tradition of the cooperation between the Faculty and building industry.
  • 11:20 Manager of the main industry partner company Winner Project Sarajevo pointed out the benefits of the cooperation between academia and industry. This cooperation is of the great importance for younger engineers, coming directly from the universities into the industrial companies. It is encouraging for the research projects bringing direct benefits to the industry, as he stated.
  • 11:30 Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Mostar Prof. Selimotić spoke about the research projects and other activities, conducted at the Research and Development Center in Mostar. He reminded of the long-term cooperation between the Faculties in Sarajevo und Mostar, which is expected to be further extended through the new established R&D Centers at the both Universities.
  • 11:40 Prof. Medić presented the ALL4R&D on-line platform and encouraged the participants of the events to register on the platform and take a part in some of the ALL4R&D project activities. He showed the results of the research projects implemented at the R&D Center in Sarajevo, which included the students as well and led to the three Master thesis, ambient vibration tests of the building of the Institute for Materials and Structures, ambient vibration testing of the reinforced concrete bridge in Kraljeva Sutjeska, 40 km north from Sarajevo and reinforced earth project, implemented at the building site of the new airport near Bihać in West Bosnia.
  • 12:20 Head of the Erasmus Office in Sarajevo Mr. Suad Muhibić addressed the audience. He expressed satisfaction with the achieved results of the project. He reminded of the good cooperation between Erasmus Office and Faculty of Civil Engineering in Sarajevo, already on several European projects and wished the continuation of the cooperation in future projects. He briefly described new Erasmus project package offered by European Commission.
  • 12:30 Ceremonial delivering of the certificates for successfully completed LLL-Courses, part of ALL4R&D project.
  • 12:40 Shared coffee time and continuation of the discussion between the partners from academia and industry.
